Bribery.

Bribery is defined as the practice of offering something (usually money) in order to gain an illicit advantagea moral pervasion, depravity or rottenness and may influence the recipient's conduct. Many types of bribe exist such as tip, gift, discount, free food, free ad, free trip, tickets, funding, inflated sale of an object promotion (rise of position/rank) and et cetera. We must not agree on bribery because It is usually against the law, and aid workers are bound by the law in the country in which they are working. It encourages corruption, and corruption is something that usually hurts the poor by denying them free and fair access to the services that they are entitled to. Aid agencies are bringing in free help for people who need it, and it is morally wrong for officials to try to divert some of the resources intended for the needy. Paying one bribe usually leads to demands for more bribes. It is best never to start. these are among the examples of bribery and corruption types. Bribery is giving or receiving something of value to influence a transaction. Other than that, illegal gratuity is giving or receiving something of value after a transaction is completed, in acknowledgment of some influence over the transaction. Next, extortion is demanding a sum of money (or goods) with a threat of harm (physical or business) if demands are not met. Then, there’s conflict of interest where an employee has an economic or personal interest in a transaction. Bribery have affected Malaysia such as the foreign direct investment attractiveness has been tampered. Bribery has had effects of impeding Malaysian growth up the value chain and achieving rapid growth with innovative products. Bribery also has affected several organizations and lead to bigger issues that if leave unsettled. Bribery and corruption impacts upon the poor and vulnerable people in developing countries, it undermines public services and has an economic impact, increasing the costs of doing business whether the corruption is overseas or domestic.

There are a thousand and one ways, and the important thing is to choose a way that suits your personality and is appropriate to the local context and culture. These are some examples on how to prevent bribery and corruption. First, when someone offering you a big amount of money, explain why you are not able to pay the bribe. Have various simple phrases that do not sound like an accusation of corruption for example: “My head office doesn’t allow me to pay any fee that isn’t official.’’ Secondly, you should report it to the authorities that have the ability to stop the bribery. Then, make sure you write everything that happened so that it can be evidence.
